• Tips: Decorating Marketplacefurniture-workshop - Tips: Decorating PillowsI have a sectional in my family room and although it came with the same colored fabric pillows, I wanted to add some pillows that had some color in it. I bought some really nice burgundy colored pillows and wow it has really made the sectional pop out. I've now been adding some burgundy colored accents to tie it all in..frames, vases, throw, etc. Comment #1 Eva from Wisteria Lane - I think that pillows are great as an accent piece. It can really tie in a whole room with the right colors. Comment #2 Snowbird (1) from the land of cheese - Indeed, pillows are a great add to living rooms and if you find the right colors it can make the room seem complete. I personally like to sew mine, and just search for the perfect fabrics. Comment #3 Eva from Wisteria Lane - Snowbird...that's a great idea to sew your own pillows!! You can certainly find fabrics that really tie in your whole decor. If only I was better with the sewing machine!! Comment #4 Lee from North Pole - I am so lame I don't have any pillows on any of my furnitre in my living room. Probably because I know that they will just end up on the floor. With little guys around they just get thrown around and then I end up picking them up because no one else would care enought they were supposed to be on the couch instead of the floor. I like pillows and think they definitely can add color and texture to a room. I just don't have any on my furniture. :( Comment #5 Silly Sally from the middle of nowhere - You are so right. Pillows are an inexpensive way to change the look of a piece of furniture or a room. I have seen whole rooms transformed just through the pillows.
