Hang artwork done by your kids

One of the things we have done in our home to decorate besides portraits is hanging artwork that our children have done. I buy frames for them and make them look fancy. The kids think it is great to see their artwork on our walls. I don't hang every single thing they do but we pick out a few things and buy frames and put them around the house. We can leave them up all the time too. When the fridge would get full we would have to take some of the things down. Now they can stay up. I date and put their ages on the back. Plus putting them in frames helps keep them in good shape and I can give them to my kids when they are a little older so they have something from their childhood.

I do this too and it is an inexpensive way to decorate. I've taken 9 works of art that my kids have done and hang them up over my bed. That way I don't have to buy a big piece of framed art to utilize that space.

What a great and inexpensive idea. I have saved different kids of artwork my kids have done over the years but always have put in a box and put it away. I will drag the box out and let them go through it and they can pick out which ones they would like to hang up around the house. I think there is macaroni art, finger paint, all kinds of stuff. I will be passing this around to my friends I know some of them will absolutely love it. Thanks for the great idea.

it's a great idea, it's the best way to find the great ideas of children through art, this is good chance for kids also to express their ideas.

It also makes the children feel happy because they can see that you're proud of them and their masterpieces enough to even hang it up and display it to guests! My mom hung up a few art pieces that I made as a child and a teenager and it always meant a lot to me.

My mother in law does this in her "guest room". She has all of the grandkids do their own artwork and she hangs them up all over in the guest room. It really does look nice.
