New Sink for Kitchen!

When my boyfriend and I moved into a warehouse that was owned and maintained by the owner. We were only renting it, but she allowed us to improve our side of the warehouse which was a cute apartment. The only problem was the kitchen's sink! It was sooooo tiny! Pretty much the width of a dish! I could not believe it when i saw it. I really could not even wash dishes in it, i would put water in this plastic basket and wash in it instead. One day my boyfriend looked and decided it would be pretty easy to replace the sink and cut a bigger hole in the counter. The counter was wood so it was fairly simple. We got this really beautiful stainless steel sink, which was HUGE! Now i'm happily washing my dishes in the sink again :)

What a pain to wash dishes in a basket. For me dishes are one of my least favorite things to do and to have to do them other than the sink would be horrible. A friend of mine said her husband had this brilliant idea to redo their kitchen all at once. Not in pieces just tear the whole thing out and re-do everything at the same time. Only he had a job so it took forever. She had to wash dishes in her bath tub. Thankfully I have a triple sink, the middle one being smaller and has a garbage disposal, in my kitchen plus a wet bar on the other side of the kitchen. I am glad to hear that you are able to dishes normally again. I can't imagine how long it would take you do dishes after a big meal with that little basket. It is funny on how sometimes we can take advantage of the littlest things and then when they are not there we miss them so much we would give anything to have them back.

How wonderful that you didn't have a disagreeable landlord and she let you improve your apartment. I can't imagine not being able to do dishes anywhere but the sink. You must be so much happier now.
