Barry (63.176.159.197) - Our son set an old car battery on our oak dining room table. Now there is an ugly mark from the battery acid. Any idea how we can easily restore the table to its oak finish? Comment #1 Acid Man (63.176.159.148) - I think you need to consider the acid stains to be art deco. Maybe you can open a furniture factory with a whole new style of tables. Comment #2 MustiKhan (67.150.72.146) - I think you need to buy new battery and try to fix. Old things only leave behind marks. Comment #3 Snowbird from the land of cheese - Only thing I can think of is that you may need to sand it down past the stain and refinish it! Or should I say have "him" sand it down!! Comment #4 George from Dead Like Me - Did you let your son live? LOL! DH keeps putting his shoes on our dining room table and I may have to kill him.
