best furniture for basement?

I would like to add some furniture to my basement, my basement is all cement and isn't finished. what would make my basement feel and look comfortable?

I would love to have a basement that I could put furniture in however my husband has converted our basement into a home gym. Not just a gym with a tread mill but a gym with a squat rack, bench, free weights, leg machine, dip station, oh there is other stuff but I try and not get too involved. Needless to say there is zero room in the basement for any furniture unless you consider the bench for the for the bench press as a piece of furniture. He loves to workout and stays in really great shape so I guess sacrificing the space down there is worth it.

The basement part of our basement is Dad's work area. Part of it is still unfinished dirt that is used for storage. The rest of it was the rumpus room that we played in when we were kids, bathroom, weird kind of kitchenette, and Dad's office. Now the basement is still the basement, the bathroom has been remodeled and is lovely and the rest is all Dad's office.

The rumpus room had a ping pong table and some couches that I don't really remember. We had a lot of board games and other toys down there.
